Robbie & Chelaine -The Wedding Collection-

I still get nervous before shoots. I remember this shoot being no different. Even after shooting Chelaine's senior pictures, her family pictures, and her engagement pictures, I still sat uncomfortably in my car, my stomach mimicking Mother Nature's most recent tantrum, just moments before Chelaine and her husband Robbie would be exiting the LDS temple connected, eternally. As they did this my anxiety fleeted and through their families warm embraces and natural joy, I was rest assured that today was going to be easy.

Easy comes in many forms. It presents itself when bridesmaids laugh at every terrible joke you lob at them. It appears when you can poke fun at the groom for yawning more than talking. It then reappears when his yawning regenerates into a congregation of laughter, everyone in sight a member of this hilarious moment. Easy also can translate into a wildly entertaining reception. It welcomed itself on the dance floor as the bridal party put together a choreographed dance so rousing, it deserved a spot in "Chicago". I'm sure as parents it wasn't easy to pull off such a demanding day, but it was absolutely easy to enjoy. This is Robbie & Chelaine's wedding day.

Waddie Allen -The Head Shot Collection-

We've seen too much of Vanessa Hudgens (in more ways than one), Miss Cyrus is just a poppy reminder that the entire Cyrus family is trying too hard, and Selena Gomez is a teenier version, and less scandalized remake of Hudgens, making her far less interesting. So I give you a new face. Here is a girl that is interesting. For starters her name is Waddie. She has classy taste. For example one of her favorite movies is "Singin in the Rain" as opposed to a film with an appearing Spears daughter pretending to act. She water ski's like it's her last day alive, and she has an enthusiasm for life that would make everyone on Glee seem like Bob Dylan.

During our shoot her "serious look" usually catapulted into fragmented laughter accompanied by dimples that are so hypnotizing that B.I.G scribed a song about them in 1997. This was just one of the many 'flashy ways' that Waddie won me over. Her likability seems unmeasurable to me but if I had to start somewhere it'd be in her true and lasting friendships, not the number of digital buddies she's collected through a trendy social networking scheme. (though she probably inhales friend requests) Hollywood will try to blanket her in the filth and slime of egotism that is slithering around the industry like a ready to eat cobra, but She won't be devoured. She won't become a meal. She'll be the one with the fork & knife. She'll become a more real, a more relatable, and a far more interesting singing/acting powerhouse than we've come to expect from the land of standardized disney juvenility. This is Waddie Allen.

Jack Mitchell -The Senior Collection-

A renaissance man. A jack of all trades. He's the starting point guard on the varsity basketball team, a mammoth on the a snowboard, a motivator and leader in his faith, and is well known around his school. Popularity means something. You can be popular for many reasons (some of them not always positive), but the verdict on this kid is that he's charming and well received by all. It didn't take long to convince me of this. His charm and genuine interest in your well-being is reviving, he quietly, and effortlessly, makes you understand that you're important to him. I have a predilection to people who are capable of said trait. Consider that i felt all this just as his photographer. I imagine that his friends have been quite blessed by this condition. I can see all those that surround him basking in his good cheer. Soaking up his sun. Hold on...I think I just infused sheryl crow into this. I've said too much. Gentlemen & ladies, this is Jack Mitchell.

Ryan & Kara -The Engagement Collection-

My heart tends to feel good when I'm around this couple. I will explain this later when I shoot & then later, post their wedding pictures. But I asked John Francis, a man who's had a profound impact on Ryan (and in the same turn been impacted by him), share with me one of his many talents, Poetry. Lovely and true words. This is Ryan & Kara.

Ryan’s always been a friend,

And his soul has always shone

The only problem with the chap,

Seemed to be he was alone

He’ll make you laugh, he’ll work real hard,

His heart does really care

But deep inside, you just could tell,

With one, he’d like to share

He has so much to offer,

To one he’d love so much

And then one day this Kara girl,

Decided to show up

She’s perfect, great, they seem complete,

The blessing for my friend,

There couldn’t be a better match,

And their love will have no end.
